"The Monster Project is the undertaking of a passionate collection of artists who share a common goal: to help children recognize the power of their own imaginations and to encourage them to pursue their creative potential."

For this project, I illustrated and designed a cover for a hypothetical children's book. The main star is a nine armed, one eyed, purple martian eater, named William. William's naturally playful design was easily translated into a fleshed out character. I emphasized the playfulness of the design by put him in a dynamic scene, having him climb up a tree with an exaggerated fish-eye perspective.
William, and the other creatures in the drawing on the left, were generated from the imagination and drawings of a child. It was my responsibility as an illustrator to
re-imagine William into a fully realized character.
